In Lalitpur late on Sunday night, a young man killed his wife and one year old daughter who became an obstacle in his love affair. He also injured himself by hitting his head against the wall. After strict interrogation in custody, the youth confessed to his crime.
Neeraj Kushwaha (27), resident of Mohalla Chandmari, does decoration work in weddings. He is having a love affair. He often had disputes with his wife Manisha (22) regarding this matter. He was talking on mobile late on Sunday night. He had a fight with Manisha regarding this. Put. Angry Manish attacked Manisha with a cricket bat kept in the room and killed her.
During this time his one year old daughter Neepika woke up. Neeraj also killed him by strangulating him. After the murder of his wife and daughter, Neeraj spread the things kept in the cupboard and hid the blood stained bat. Injured himself by hitting his head against the wall. At around five in the morning, he told his friend on his mobile that half a dozen masked miscreants looted his house and killed his wife and daughter. He has also been injured.
People admitted Neeraj to the district hospital. To uncover the double murder, SP formed six teams under the leadership of ASP and CO Sadar. CCTV cameras installed in the locality and surrounding houses were searched. When the police became suspicious of Neeraj from the CCTV footage, they took him into custody.
